G.W. Carver is proud to present the following recognitions:
Beginning Teacher of the Year - first grade teacher, Ms. Jaya Batchelor
Ms. Batchelor currently teaches 1st grade. She serves on the Sunshine Committee and is a positive influence on the Carver community. She provides a safe and nurturing learning environment for her students. She shares a smile and a calm presence with all that she encounters.
Teacher of the Year - second grade teacher and BT mentor, Mrs. Tamika Farmer
Mrs. Farmer currently teaches 2nd grade, but will be joining our 4th grade team as a Math teacher in August. Mrs. Farmer serves on our School Improvement Team and our PBIS Team, while also serving as a mentor to Beginning Teachers within our building. Mrs. Farmer is known for building strong relationships with her students and their families, providing rigorous instruction and contributing positively to the culture of the school. She is a top notch educator who goes above and beyond to support students. She embraces our "ALL IN" mentality each and every day!
